The new W66 Restaurant in the Museum for Communication

Just a few blocks from Friedrichstraße, in the magnificent historic building of the Museum of Communication, Deli W66 opened its doors in April 2025. Elegant and trendy, the Communication Museum's new restaurant offers modern, regional and seasonal cuisine: pastrami sandwiches with homemade sourdough bread, contemporary creative dishes with vegan and vegetarian options, or coffee with homemade cakes.

Well-known on Berlin's gastronomic scene for 10 years with his Berlin catering company Wild & Wiese, Managing Director Christian Wilke is realizing his dream of creating his own restaurant. A restaurant that doubles as an events venue, which can be used in conjunction with the museum's magnificent atrium!

Located in the oldest postal museum in the world, which now houses the Museum for Communication, the new museum's café and restaurant W66 blends tradition with a modern, minimalistic aesthetic, historical setting with modern cuisine. With light wooden floors, clear lines, a black grand piano, the spacious room is simple and elegant.

Freshness, regionality, and seasonality are the guiding principles of the menu, which varies frequently and offers everything from short business lunches to kid-friendly family meals.

From starters and main courses to snacks and sandwiches, there's something for everyone. A cold beet soup, a cream of asparagus soup with homemade sourdough bread, vegan beets from the charcoal grill or delicious green ravioli with wild garlic.

There are also various homemade sandwiches (with homemade sourdough bread) like Pastrami with emmental cheese, sour cabbage, mustard and pickles, or a vegan a vegan focaccia topped with bean cream and cheese. Vegan sandwiches are also on the menu.

Croissants, homemade cakes and coffee specialties with beans from Coffee Circle complete the selection. The place is indeed a great place for a cosy afternoon with a coffee and a homemade cake.
